US President Joe Biden’s first-ever Middle Eastern trip lasted from July 13 to 16, 2022. This trip covered Israel, the occupied West Bank, and Saudi Arabia. The trip was all about reassuring Israel’s security, sanctioning Iran and nuclear talks, the Ukraine war, and a somewhat uncomfortable request to Saudi Crown Prince Salman over increasing oil production. The visit is fraught with difficult issues and the timing has even made it more difficult, the trip would have been made earlier if the covid-19 pandemic had not made it this late.
