Bangladesh’s relations with the Gulf nations date back to Bangabandhu’s time. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of the nation, realized that to meet the domestic demands of crude oil and to ensure a labor market for Bangladesh’s unemployed people, there is no alternative to develop relations with the oil-rich Gulf countries.
