M. Aynul Islam
M. Aynul Islam is the Research Director at The KRF Center for Bangladesh and Global Affairs (CBGA) and Associate Professor of Political Science in Dhaka University. His teaching and research concentrate on the micro foundation of conflict and violence in societies and the impact on the communities. Academically, he studied politics, conflict, governance and development at Ghent University (Belgium), University of Antwerp (Belgium), and University of Dhaka (Bangladesh). Mr. Islam attended a post-graduate diploma program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (USA). He also attended specialized post-graduate program on Political Violence and Terrorism at the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research (ICPVTR) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Mr. Islam has received Development and Cooperation Award 2010 by the Provincial Council of Antwerp (Belgium) for his outstanding research on ‘Inside Violence in Mindanao, Philippines’. He is also the recipient of 9 different global scholarships and awards. He has extensively published research and academic papers, articles, and chapters in different journals at home and abroad. Sheikh Shams Morsalin
Sheikh Shams Morsalin is Senior Research Fellow at The KRF Center for Bangladesh and Global Affairs (CBGA) and also Associate Professor of International Relations at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is a PhD Researcher at the Department of Conflict and Development Studies, Ghent University, Belgium. He is also a Commonwealth scholar. Morsalin received his MSc degree with ‘distinction’ from Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Sussex, UK. Earlier, he completed his Bachelor (Honors) and Master degrees in International Relations from University of Dhaka and topped at both the levels. During his last eleven years of teaching and research career, Morsalin published numerous journal articles, book chapters and monographs, and presented papers at different national and international conferences and seminars. His areas of interest include foreign policy, governance and development challenges, non-traditional security issues, environmental hazards and climate change challenges in the developing states.
Md. Shariful Islam, PhD
Md. Shariful Islam, PhD is a Research Fellow of The KRF Center for Bangladesh and Global Affairs (CBGA). He is also an Associate Professor in International Relations at the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Islam is also an Associate Editor of the Journal of Bangladesh and Global Affairs, a flagship, peer-reviewed Journal of The Center for Bangladesh and Global Affairs. Some of his latest publications include, Fifty Years of Bangladesh-India Relations: Issues, Challenges and Possibilities (2021, Pentagon Press, New Delhi); COVID-19 Global Pandemic and Aspects of Human Security in South Asia: Implications and Way Forward (2020, Pentagon Press, New Delhi, co-authored with Delwar Hossain). M. Ali Siddiquee
M. Ali Siddiquee, is a Research Fellow at The KRF Center for Bangladesh and Global Affairs (CBGA) and Assistant Professor at the Department of International Relations, University of Dhaka. He earned the degrees of Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSS) and Master of Social Sciences (MSS) in International Relations from the University of Dhaka in 2012 and 2013 respectively. He received the degree of Master of International Relations (MIR) from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2020 with the prestigious Australia Awards Scholarship from the Government of Australia. Prior to his joining the Department of International Relations in 2015, he worked as Research Officer at Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) from June 2013 to July 2015 and worked in Conflict Prevention Through Counter-radicalization of Youth in Bangladesh funded by the European Union; Towards Developing a Better Counter Terrorism Regime Phase II funded by the Royal Danish Embassy in Dhaka, and Bangladesh-India Dialogue funded by the US State Department. Prior to that he also worked as Research Assistant at the Democratic Budget Movement (DBM), ActionAid Bangladesh; and Microgovernance Research Initiative (MGR). Md. Saiful Islam
Md. Saiful Islam is currently serving as Research Manager at The KRF Center for Bangladesh and Global Affairs (CBGA). Prior to that, he served as a Research Associate at the East Asia Study Center (EASC), University of Dhaka. Mr. Saiful has working experience as Research Associate under a research project of DMP, a Field Researcher at the Centre for Genocide Studies (CGS), University of Dhaka, Field Investigator at the WARBE Development Foundation, and also at FES Bangladesh. Aditi Chakrovorty
Aditi Chakrovorty is currently working as a Senior Research Associate at The KRF Center for Bangladesh and Global Affairs (CBGA), Bangladesh. Prior to that, she served as Research Associate at the East Asia Study Center (EASC), University of Dhaka. She has several experiences of working as a research assistant in field under supervision of UNDP, USAID, Obirodh Road to Tolerance Project and the Centre for Genocide Studies (CGS) of the University of Dhaka. She is contributing in Social Science research by publishing articles internationally (American Journal of Social Science, International Transaction Journal of Engineering, management, & Applied Sciences and Technologies, Seshadripuram Journal of Social Sciences). Sharar Mahbub Dhrubo serves as a Research Assistant at The KRF Center for Bangladesh and Global Affairs (CBGA). Muhammad Estiak Hussain
Muhammad Estiak Hussain is a Research Intern of The KRF Center for Bangladesh and Global Affairs (CBGA). He is also pursuing his MSS in Security Studies from the Department of International Relations, University of Dhaka. Previously, he completed his BSS in International Relations from the same University. During his graduation, he became passionate about academic writing and research. He wrote a good number of newspaper articles and conducted research for academic purposes.
